Join in on all the fun with events and activities held throughout the town and county, highlighting how water connects us to each other and our world. Creeks, streams, rivers and other waterways support outdoor recreation, fisheries, healthy lifestyles, safe drinking water supplies, biodiversity and natural beauty, while also providing critical habitat for aquatic wildlife.
The third annual Orange County Creek Week is coordinated by the Towns of Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Hillsborough; Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA); they Orange County Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation; UNC Institute for the Environment; Sustainable Carolina; UNC Environment, Health and Safety; the Eno River Association; and the Haw River Assembly.
