Age is determined by the start date of each cmap. Payment of $20 (nonrefundable) fee, per camp, per registrant will reserve a space. The remaining balance must be paid by May 18th or you will lose your space. Participants should bring a snack each day.

Camp balances are due by May 18 . After May 18 all payments are required in-full.

Carrboro's camps reflect the creativity, skills, and talents of a staff who are dedicated in providing a wonderful camp experience.

    A camp designed to introduce the fundamentals of basketball to the participant. Instructor guides the participant in understanding the skills of shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, and team play.

    Taste of Sports Camp

    A camp designed to introduce a variety of sports to the participant, the instructor will teach basic fundamentals, then players will play the game! This is a great camp for those who like to play many games, not just one.

    The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department in conjunction with Triangle Futbol Club is sponsoring soccer camps which focus on individual fundamental skill development with professionally trained staff provided by TFC.

    Kinderventures Camp

    Kinderventures is a camp filled with fun, excitement,
    crafts, games, music, and more with activities designed
    to enhance fine motor, communication and cooperation
    skills. Kinderventures activities are held in a
    stimulating atmosphere with trained, friendly staff.

    Eco - Explores Camp

    Spark a lifelong interest and appreciation of the natural
    world. Participants will explore the natural world using
    all their senses. Campers will gain exposure to bird
    watching, science experiments, exploring plants,
    insects, habitats and more!

    Art Extavaganza
    You imagine the projects and counselors will help
    create them using crayons, markers, paint, Plaster of
    Paris, clay and more. Each day, campers will tackle a
    different medium. Your artist will be engaged in both
    individual and group projects.

    Carrboro Survivor Camps
    Carrboro Survivor Camp for Ages 6-8

    Register with a friend or by yourself and see if you can survive a week of Carrboro’s fun and exciting summer camp. The camp staff will put your skills to the test with obstacle courses, treasure hunts and many more games and activities.

    Music Around the World
    We will travel the globe exploring music from various
    countries and create instruments from other cultures
    and continents. No previous knowledge or study of
    music is required only a willingness to listen with open
    ears and be exposed to the magic of music.

    This camp session is a taste of everything that summer

    Eco - Adventure Camp
    Designed for 9 -12 year olds, this great-outdoors
    camp includes a day trip for paddling, bird watching,
    pond studies, a mammal program and more all woven
    together with fundamentals of ecology.

    Rock Band Camps
    We'll specialize in Rock, Blues, Punk, Country and
    Funk! The focus is on group dynamics, putting it all
    together and getting gigs. Friday participants will
    perform for family and friends at the Century Center.

    Tennis Camps

    Campers will have a great time learning the game of
    tennis. Skills will include forehand, backhand, volley
    and serve plus participation in various drills and games
    to enhance their skills and encourage further
    participation in the sport. Basic rules of tennis and
    etiquette will be highlighted and expected throughout
    camp. Patti Fox, USPTA Certified Teaching Pro and
    Ron Rudin, PTR certified instructor will direct the camps.

    Fishing Camps

    This will be a five-day catch and release fishing camp. Young anglers will learn the basics of rigging rods and lines, baiting and casting, and tying fishing knots. Instruction will be provided throughout the day and participants can look forward to catching each of the various species of fish found in North Carolina waters such as Bass, Bream, Crappie,Catfish and more. Equipment needed: 4 1/2 to 6 ft. lightweight freshwater spinning rod or Zebco equivalent.

    Extreme Drama Camp

    Before the summer is over, express yourself in a fun and unique way! Through writing, games, music, dance, monologues, and scenes, we will explore the individual as as artist in this one-week camp. Find your true voice and talent, and learn confidence in your creative self in a supportive environment as we put together a show. A showcase of talent will wrap up this camp on Friday for the whole family to attend.

    Kayaking Camp

    Come have fun, learn kayaking and water safety, play games, and meet friends at this half day kayaking camp. The program will consist of learning some new skills and practicing them. Participants will focus on paddling and using our newly found skills to explore our surroundings. Each day will include learning new skills, playing games, practicing new skills, and exploring the natural environment in which we are paddling. This week long program is a great way to introduce kayaking to youth. Offered in partnership with the Haw River Canoe & Kayak Company. Space is LIMITED, so register early!

    Mountain Biking Camp

    Love mountain biking, or want to even more? Come join us at Wilson Park and the trails of Carolina North Forest this summer. Youth will first learn the mechanics of the bicycle and then the proper techniques of shifting, braking, hill climbing and descent, body and pedal position, and navigating minor obstacles. Then we'll take to the trails to practice our safe bike handling skills. You will need your bike, helmet, a super-stoked attitude and some way to stay hydrated (water bottle or hydration pack).
